All-on-4 and All-on-6 Implantology
All-on-4 and All-on-6 Implantology
What is all-on implantology?
All-on Implantology is an innovative technique of implant dentistry to rehabilitate a toothless dental arch (totally edentulism) using a special prosthesis.
The all-on implantology therapy is peculiar because it requires only 4 to 6 endosseous screws to anchor a complete fixed prosthesis complete with all the dental elements.
The denomination “All-on 4” and “All-on 6” derives from the number of anchoring systems (4 or 6).
The choice of the number of screws is made by the dentist based on the characteristics of the patient: this is because the anchor points must guarantee the stability of the prostheses and a healthy distribution of the masticatory forces on the gingival and bone tissues.
A special prosthesis: the Toronto Bridge
All-on implantology is performed with the aid of digital technology (computer-guided implantology): this
allows the dental implants, on which the dental prosthesis will subsequently be fixed, to be positioned with
extreme precision.
This implant technique uses the “Toronto Bridge” prosthesis: a resin prosthesis made up of 12 dental elements connected to each other with a realistic artificial gingiva. On this structure there are 4/6 lodgings for anchoring to the endosseous implants.
The Toronto Bridge prosthesis is lightweight, flexible, and has a natural appearance. These characteristics, together with a rapid and minimally invasive medical protocol, make this prosthetic solution perfect for people who have lost all their teeth.
