There are many solutions to remedy the loss of one or more teeth. The method of procedure is chosen by the dentist on the basis of the clinical needs and wishes of the patient.

Clinical case – Dental restoration to replace missing teeth with a dental “bridge” prosthesis.

We present a case performed by Dr. Claudio Di Gioia of dental restoration by the mean of a dental bridge.

The bridge was made with an indirect method (therefore built in the dental laboratory) through the use of particular composite resins reinforced to resist the mastication forces and was applied in the edentulous space by means of inlays made on the adjacent teeth.

Subsequently the bridge was cemented and functionalized. Finally, the aesthetic aspect of the prosthesis was provided, taking care of the details to restore aesthetic confidence to the patient.

In this case we decided to build a bridge because it was possible to proceed with the elective treatments for tooth replacement. This solution is conservative because it does not require surgical operations or the application of dental implants.

The images show as example the various phases of the treatment and the excellent result of the intervention.
