Dental implant with Nobelbiocare protocol to remove old dentures.

Failure to take care of personal oral hygiene causes the proliferation of bacteria which determine the accelerated degeneration of teeth, periodontium and dental prostheses. In this type of situation, the dentist needs to take care of the patient’s oral health and extract the compromised teeth.

Clinical case – Dental implant with Nobelbiocare protocol to remove old dentures.

We present a case performed by Dr. Claudio Di Gioia of osseointegrated implantology carried out with the Branemark Nobelbiocare protocol and immediate functional prosthetic loading.

The patient in question had lost most of his teeth and had old dentures which made chewing impossible and embarrassed him for their bad aesthetics.

The Doctor’s intervention made it possible to restore correct chewing and aesthetic function on the same day of the operation: the minimally invasive surgical procedure allowed the positioning of the new teeth in just one day and the possibility for the patient to bite into solid foods same evening.
A few months later, the new definitive teeth were created on a implant-supported fixed prosthesis, restoring the smile to our patient.
